Opening Hours and Fees

The Museum is closed on Mondays for exhibit maintenance

  • Tuesdays to Saturdays - from 10 am to 6pm

  • Sundays and Public Holidays - closed



  • There are washrooms located on every floor of the National Museum building

Audio-Visual Theatre

In our 50-seat AV Theatre, you can experience spectacular celebrations of Trinidad and Tobago's natural and cultural heritage.  Special presentations for School groups are held every Friday from 10 am - 2 pm.

Lost Property

Lost property is located at the Nort entrance of the Museum Office

Visitor Photography

For copyright and conservation reasons the National Museum and Art Gallery of Trinidad and Tobago does not allow visitors to photograph or film works of our collections using devices of any kind inside the building.


While the Gallery owns the physical works of art in the collection, generally the artist/copyright holder retains the copyright separately and therefore has the exclusive right to control the reproduction of the work. Copyright holders may take legal action if copyright-protected works of art are photographed and reproduced without permission.
