The National Museum and Art Gallery of Trinidad and Tobago depends on the interest of volunteers to contribute their time and service to support the work of the Museum. Volunteers can contribute in many different ways, from providing tours to visitors in the galleries, to supporting the work on the Museum’s curatorial research, collections work, learning, library or administrative duties. Volunteers may include undergraduate or graduate students to provide assistance to the curatorial team, teachers, artists, historians, research associates, secondary school students and those who are enthusiastic about the research, preservation and education of the arts and heritage of Trinidad and Tobago. Please review the descriptions of volunteer opportunities available in the various museum departments below to determine which area you would like to apply. The descriptions provide a broad overview of the responsibilities by each. Prospective candidates may apply for more than one volunteer position, but will be accepted for only one. Interested applicants can submit a cover letter and resume to the museum at the following e-mail address: nationalmuseum117@gmail.com Prospective volunteers are interviewed by staff members of the departments for which the candidates are being considered.
